The Irish 20 pence coin is made of copper, zinc and nickel which gives it a brilliant gold shine or soft brass color. The image of an Irish Hunter Horse is on one side with the Irish harp on the other. The coin is domed and the mint date is between 1985 and 2000. The Hunter horse is an excellent sport horse, used in hunting, jumping, polo and fox hunting. It is a Thoroughbred. A polished Irish green Connemara marble stone connects the coin to chain. Connemara is mined in the western part of Ireland near Galway Bay in Cannaught Province.
