Ireland Sixpence Necklace w/Connemara 3000
This Celtic sixpence has an Irish Whippet dog on one side and an Irish harp on the other. The whippet looks much like a greyhound but is smaller. The whippet and Irish Wolfhound are two well liked dogs in Ireland and around the world. The coin is made of nickel. Coin dates range from 1928 to 1969. This necklace comes with a polished green Connemara stone found only in the northern part of Ireland. There are 4 native stones of Ireland found in separate parts of the country: Connemara (a green stone), Ulster (a white stone), Cork (a red stone) and Kilkenny (a black stone).
